March 2024 - The Court Tree

Down an old passage on the Royal Mile, where a man was trying to convince me he had a Golden Eagle I could hold, is Makar's Court. It houses the entrance to the Writer's Museum which celebrates the literary giants of Scotland including Robbie Burns and Sir Walter Scott. On the far side of the square is this single tree illuminated by the late afternoon spring light.
